Sahiwal: Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Cheating in Matric Exams

SAHIWAL (News Reporter) – Commissioner of Sahiwal Division, Dr. Asif Tufail, has asserted that every possible measure must be utilized to eliminate cheating in examination centers and uphold merit, ensuring a fair and conducive environment for students.

He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting held to review the arrangements for the ongoing Matriculation examinations across the division.

The meeting was attended by Board Secretary Ghulam Hussain Bhatti, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rana Naveed Azmat, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Marhaba Nemat, and other relevant officials.

Briefing on Arrangements

During the session, the Board Secretary and the Controller of Examinations provided a detailed briefing to the Commissioner on the following points:

  • Monitoring System: A modern monitoring system has been activated to maintain strict surveillance over examination centers throughout the division.

  • Security Measures: Foolproof security arrangements have been implemented at the entrance and exit points of all centers.

  • Use of Technology: Live monitoring of all centers is being conducted via CCTV cameras, supported by a specially established control room.

Key Directives from the Commissioner

Dr. Asif Tufail issued stern orders to the officers to ensure the transparency of the examination process:

  • Comprehensive Searching: No student shall be allowed to enter the examination center without a thorough physical search and checking.

  • Active Control Room: The control room must keep a minute-by-minute watch on the centers, and immediate action must be taken against any illegal activity.

  • Staff Attendance: Personnel on duty must perform their responsibilities with the utmost honesty; there is absolutely no room for negligence.
