Sahiwal: 25-Year-Old Youth Ends Life Under Train Due to Unemployment

SAHIWAL (News Desk) – In a tragic incident highlighting the devastating impact of economic hardship, a 25-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train near Sharif Colony, Sahiwal.
Details of the Incident
According to local reports, the deceased, identified as Muhammad Rafiq, son of Liaquat Ali and a resident of the Noor Park neighborhood, had been struggling with prolonged unemployment. The inability to meet his household expenses and mounting financial pressure reportedly led him into a state of deep despair.
Driven by desperation, Rafiq reached the railway tracks near Sharif Colony, where he jumped in front of an oncoming express train. He sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.
Police Action
Upon receiving the information, teams from the Ghala Mandi Police Station arrived at the scene. Law enforcement took custody of the body and shifted it to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
