Anti-Corruption Sahiwal Crackdown: Drug Inspector’s Assistant Caught Red-Handed

SAHIWAL – As part of a province-wide campaign against malpractice, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Sahiwal has exposed a corruption network within the Health Department after a successful raid.
Operation Details
Acting on the directives of Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab, Sohail Zafar Chatha, and under the specific instructions of Regional Director ACE Sahiwal, Basharat Nabi, a specialized team led by Circle Officer Headquarters Suhaib Qaisar executed the operation. The raid was conducted in the presence of a Magistrate, ensuring all legal protocols were strictly followed.
Arrest and Recovery
The ACE team apprehended Muhammad Arslan, the assistant to Drug Inspector Sahiwal (Muhammad Subhani), at the exact moment he was receiving a bribe of 10,000 PKR from a local citizen, Muhammad Asim Hanif.
The Motive: The suspect had allegedly demanded the illegal gratification in exchange for not sealing the citizen’s medical store.
The Evidence: Authorities recovered marked currency notes from the suspect’s possession on the spot.
