Chichawatni House Fire: Gas Cylinder Leakage Kills Woman and her Son

A horrific fire broke out in a residential house on Okanwala Road, within the jurisdiction of the Saddar Police Station, due to a gas cylinder leakage. The tragic incident resulted in the death of a woman and left her son critically injured.

According to details, a gas cylinder suddenly began leaking at the residence of Master Shoaib Arain on Okanwala Road, quickly erupting into an inferno. The fire spread with such rapid intensity that it engulfed the entire house within moments.

Casualties and Medical Status

The incident has resulted in devastating casualties for the family:

  • Deceased: The wife of Master Shoaib Arain suffered fatal burn injuries and tragically died on the spot.

  • Critically Injured: Their son, Sarfraz Ahmed, was caught in the flames and sustained severe burn injuries.

  • Medical Aid: The injured Sarfraz Ahmed was immediately rushed to the Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) Hospital. After receiving emergency first aid, he was referred to Nishtar Hospital in Multan due to his critical condition, where he is currently undergoing intensive treatment.

As news of the tragic accident spread, a wave of grief and mourning washed over the entire locality, drawing a large crowd of devastated residents to the site.

Upon receiving the alert, local police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene to initiate relief operations. The police and relevant authorities have officially launched an investigation into the incident.
