CPWB Sahiwal Rescues Three Neglected Children in Harappa Operation

SAHIWAL (January 16, 2026) – Acting on the special directives of Sarah Ahmad, Chairperson of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Punjab, the Sahiwal rescue team successfully took three neglected children into protective custody during an operation today.
Rescue Details
The operation was carried out in the Harappa Main Bazaar area of Sahiwal. The team identified three young boys who were victims of extreme neglect and lack of parental supervision. The rescued children have been identified as:
Suleman (11 years old), son of Nasir.
Ali Hassan (9 years old), son of Muhammad Siraj.
Chand, son of Bilal.
Current Status and Rehabilitation
Following the rescue, the children were immediately shifted to the Child Protection Bureau Center, where they are receiving essential care, including food and medical check-ups. The Bureau has initiated a process to trace their families and evaluate the circumstances that led to their presence on the streets.
Appeal to the Public
The CPWB administration has issued an appeal to the public and the children’s relatives. Anyone with information regarding the families of these boys is requested to visit the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau office or contact the official Child Helpline at 1121.
Chairperson Sarah Ahmad reiterated that the protection of destitute and neglected children remains a top priority of the Bureau, and efforts will continue to ensure every child in Punjab is safe and provided with their fundamental rights.
