DPO Sahiwal Urges Students to Become “Traffic Ambassadors” at COMSATS Awareness Seminar

District Police Officer (DPO) Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman Tipu, attended the traffic awareness seminar held at COMSATS University Sahiwal.
A large number of male and female students were present at the seminar. The DPO spoke in detail to the participants about obeying traffic rules and responsible driving, and he also answered their questions.
In his address, DPO Muhammad Usman Tipu said that the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz is to improve the traffic system, reduce traffic violations, and prevent the loss of precious lives in accidents.
He said that deaths caused by traffic accidents are sometimes higher than those in murder cases, which is why awareness of traffic laws is extremely important.
He informed the audience that Sahiwal Police has set up awareness camps at various locations in the city, while continuous awareness is also being provided through the media.
He added that awareness of traffic laws in educational institutions is the most effective because young people can become true “traffic ambassadors” and convey this message to their families and society.
DPO Muhammad Usman Tipu said that if the more than 200 students present here convey this message to their families, we can spread traffic awareness to thousands of people.
“You are all our traffic ambassadors, and through you, we can promote a safe traffic culture in Sahiwal,” he said.
In the end, the DPO instructed the students that wearing helmets, following lane discipline, avoiding underage driving, and respecting traffic laws are not only essential for their own lives but also crucial for the overall safety of society.
