Dr. Riaz Hamdani Presents Book to Commissioner Sahiwal

Sahiwal: Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Dr. Asif Tufail, has emphasized that a book is not merely a collection of writings, but a reflection of a society’s intellectual direction, awareness, and scholarly priorities.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that in the modern era, serious and structured academic work on topics that help understand the interaction between humans and technology has become an urgent necessity.
Appreciating this scholarly initiative by the Punjab Arts Council, Sahiwal Division, Dr. Tufail praised the book “Artificial Intelligence: Foe or Friend?” prepared under the guidance of Sahiwal Arts Council and Director Dr. Riaz Hamdani. He noted that the book addresses highly relevant contemporary questions within literary, cultural, and intellectual contexts.
Dr. Tufail highlighted the significant contribution of Dr. Hina Jamshed, who meticulously compiled the book with deep understanding and academic integrity, ensuring that the intellectual discussions from the conference were preserved in a coherent, purposeful, and reference-worthy publication.
“This effort demonstrates that when institutions provide serious intellectual support, scholarly resources become permanent assets,” he added. He further noted that the book on artificial intelligence is equally valuable for literature and culture enthusiasts, students, researchers, and policymakers, as it invites readers to examine modern technology in conjunction with human values and social consciousness.
Presenting the book, Dr. Riaz Hamdani expressed his commitment that the Punjab Arts Council, Sahiwal Division, will continue the tradition of converting academic conferences, intellectual dialogues, and literary activities into documented publications, rather than limiting them to temporary events.
