Commissioner Sahiwal Conducts Surprise Visit to General Bus Stand

SAHIWAL – Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Dr. Asif Tufail, paid a surprise visit to the Sahiwal General Bus Stand to personally inspect ongoing development projects and evaluate the quality of facilities being provided to commuters.
Accompanied by Municipal Corporation officials and project contractors, the Commissioner conducted a detailed review of the infrastructure upgrades. He emphasized the importance of timely project completion, noting that delays in development directly impact the public’s convenience.
Key Areas of Inspection
During his visit, Dr. Asif Tufail focused on several critical aspects of the transport hub’s operations:
Electric Bus Service: The Commissioner inspected the newly launched electric buses—a flagship green initiative in the region. He reviewed the cleanliness inside the vehicles and directed staff to maintain high sanitary standards at all times.
Passenger Facilities: He examined the waiting areas and basic amenities available to travelers, ensuring that the standards promised by the district administration are being met.
Staff Conduct: In a direct conversation with drivers, conductors, and helpers, the Commissioner issued strict instructions regarding public interaction. “Courteous behavior and professionalism toward passengers are non-negotiable,” he remarked.
Schedule Adherence: Dr. Tufail also checked the official bus timetables and departure schedules, ordering management to ensure strict punctuality to prevent unnecessary wait times for the public.
