Sahiwal’s Brave Son, Muhammad Usman, Laid to Rest with Full Military Honors

SAHIWAL – The soil of the motherland has once again been nourished by the blood of its brave. Muhammad Usman, a courageous soldier of the Pakistan Army, has embraced martyrdom while defending the nation, leaving the country proud of his ultimate sacrifice.
A resident of the suburban area 93/6R in Sahiwal, Muhammad Usman’s journey of valor concluded during a critical mission in the line of duty.
The Incident of Martyrdom
On the 21st of Ramadan, Muhammad Usman was participating in an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in Dera Ghazi Khan. While engaged in a fierce encounter with terrorists—and notably while fasting at the time of Iftar—he fought gallantly before attaining the high rank of martyrdom.
The loss is particularly poignant as the martyr had begun his married life only last year, according to local reports.
Burial with Full Military Honors
When the martyr’s body arrived at his ancestral village, a wave of grief swept through the community. Thousands of citizens from Sahiwal and surrounding areas gathered to attend the funeral prayers, many with tears in their eyes but heads held high. The air resonated with spirited slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad” as the public paid tribute to their hero.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honor to their fallen comrade. Following the ceremony, he was laid to rest with full military protocol.
Attendance by High-Ranking Officials
Senior military and civil officials attended the rites to pay their respects:
Brigadier Asim Malik (FC General Commander) and other high-ranking officers laid floral wreaths on the grave.
DPO Muhammad Usman Tippu, along with various civil and military dignitaries, participated in the funeral and burial proceedings.
