Pakpattan UC Secretary Nabbed in 10,000 PKR Bribe Trap

PAKPATTAN (April 13, 2026) – In a decisive move against institutional corruption, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Pakpattan team conducted a successful raid, arresting a Union Council (UC) Secretary while he was caught in the act of accepting a bribe.
The operation was carried out under the explicit orders of Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab, Sohail Zafar Chattha, and following special directives from Regional Director Anti-Corruption Sahiwal, Basharat Nabi, to tighten the noose around corrupt officials.
Details of the Operation
According to ACE sources, Circle Officer Pakpattan, Kashif Hussain Hashmi, led a specialized team under the supervision of a Magistrate to conduct a raid in the Noor Pur area.
During the sting operation, the Secretary of Union Council Noor Pur, identified as Abdul Haseeb, was apprehended red-handed while receiving 10,000 PKR in bribe money from a local citizen.
Recovery and Legal Proceedings
ACE officials confirmed that the marked currency notes used for the trap were recovered from the suspect’s possession on the spot.
Case Status: A formal case has been registered at the Anti-Corruption Police Station, Pakpattan.
Next Steps: A formal investigation has been launched to determine if other individuals were involved in the extortion.
