Rescue 1122 Sahiwal Responded to 7,846 Emergencies in January 2026

SAHIWAL – District Emergency Officer (DEO) Dr. Khalid Abdullah released the monthly performance report for January 2026, highlighting the extensive operations carried out by Rescue 1122 Sahiwal. The department successfully managed thousands of emergencies, maintaining a high standard of response throughout the district.
Call Statistics and Emergency Response
According to the details, the Rescue 1122 control room received a total of 25,089 calls during the month. However, a significant portion—17,243 calls—was categorized as irrelevant or fake. The emergency teams provided professional assistance to 7,846 genuine emergency cases.
Adhering to standard response times, rescuers provided life-saving first aid to 7,941 patients before shifting them to nearby hospitals.
Breakdown of Emergencies

Specialized Services: Motorbike Ambulance & Referrals
The Motorbike Ambulance Service played a pivotal role in navigating congested areas, responding to 5,170 emergencies. This service provided first aid to 5,287 patients, out of which 1,236 required further transportation to hospitals via regular ambulances.
Under the Patient Transfer and Referral Service, 194 patients were shifted between healthcare facilities:
42 patients were moved to specialized hospitals in Lahore.
152 patients were transferred to various hospitals within the Sahiwal Division.

Dr. Khalid Abdullah expressed satisfaction over the increasing public awareness regarding safety measures, particularly the use of helmets by motorcyclists. He lauded the tireless efforts of the rescuers and urged them to continue fulfilling their duties with the same dedication to ensure a sense of security for the citizens.
