Sahiwal & Chichawatni: Three Minors Sexually Assaulted within 24 Hours; Police Register Cases

SAHIWAL/CHICHAWATNI – A wave of horrific crimes has gripped the Sahiwal district as three separate incidents of sexual assault against minor girls were reported within a single 24-hour window. District police have moved swiftly, registering FIRs and arresting two primary suspects.

Chronology of the Incidents

The following three cases have sparked outrage across the region:

1. Betrayal by a Relative (Village 170/7-R)

In the first incident, a 13-year-old girl, identified as ‘A’, was allegedly assaulted by her cousin, ‘R’, who was visiting the family home as a guest. The suspect reportedly targeted the victim during the night. Hearing his daughter’s cries for help, the father rushed to the room and managed to apprehend the suspect on the spot.

2. Abduction Near Local Shop (Village 36/14-L)

An 11-year-old girl, ‘M’, was returning home after purchasing milk from a nearby shop when she was intercepted by a local youth, ‘B’. The suspect allegedly abducted the child and took her to a deserted building where he subjected her to assault. Alerted by the girl’s screams, villagers reached the location and rescued her.

3. Home Invasion (Sharif Colony, Sahiwal City)

The 12-year-old daughter of a local jeweler was targeted while she was alone at home. A neighboring youth, ‘A’, along with two unidentified accomplices, forcibly entered the residence and assaulted the girl. Neighbors intervened after hearing a commotion, forcing the attackers to flee and rescuing the victim.

Police Action and Legal Proceedings

The Kassowal, Shah Kot, and Ghalla Mandi police stations have registered separate cases regarding these incidents.

Current Status of Arrests:

  • Suspect ‘R’ (Cousin) is in custody.

  • Suspect ‘B’ (Abductor) has been arrested.

  • Raids are ongoing to track down the neighboring youth ‘A’ and his two accomplices in the Sharif Colony case.

Police officials stated that forensic evidence is being collected and the victims have been sent for medical examinations. Authorities emphasized that they are building a strong legal case to ensure the perpetrators receive the maximum punishment under the law.
