Sahiwal Police Arrest Prime Suspect After Viral Torture Video

SAHIWAL (News Desk) – Sahiwal Police have arrested the primary suspect involved in the brutal torture of a citizen, following a directive from District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Usman Tipu. The action was taken after a video of the incident went viral on social media, sparking widespread public outrage.

Incident Background

The incident surfaced when videos began circulating online showing a group of influential individuals physically assaulting a local citizen, identified as Muhammad Yusuf (son of Khadim Hussain).

According to reports, the victim was first publicly humiliated and beaten in a local market in the Kameer police jurisdiction. He was subsequently taken to a private outhouse (dera), where the suspects reportedly continued the severe physical abuse.

Police Action and Arrests

Responding to the public outcry, DPO Sahiwal took immediate notice and ordered the local police to recover the victim and apprehend the perpetrators.

A team led by SHO Kameer, Shakeel Ahmed, conducted a rapid operation that resulted in:

  • The safe recovery of Muhammad Yusuf from the suspects’ custody.

  • The arrest of the primary suspect, identified as Rana Adeel.

  • The registration of a formal case (FIR) against all involved individuals.

Special raiding teams have been formed to track down and arrest the remaining accomplices who are currently at large.

DPO’s Statement on Rule of Law

DPO Muhammad Usman Tipu emphasized that no one is above the law, regardless of their social standing.

“There will be no leniency for those who take the law into their own hands,” the DPO stated. “The humiliation and torture of any citizen is absolutely intolerable. Sahiwal Police will ensure the protection of the life, property, and dignity of every citizen at all costs.”

The police spokesperson added that the fugitives will be brought to justice soon to face the full weight of the law.
