Federal Minister Inaugurates WAPDA Customer Facilitation Center in Sahiwal

SAHIWAL: Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, Pir Syed Imran Ahmed Shah Wali, formally inaugurated the WAPDA Customer Facilitation Center at the DC Office Chowk today. The center is being hailed as a significant “gift” for the residents of Sahiwal, aiming to streamline utility services and resolve electricity-related grievances under one roof.
A One-Stop Solution for Citizens
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Federal Minister Pir Syed Imran Ahmed Shah Wali emphasized that the establishment of this center marks the end of the traditional “office-to-office” struggle for citizens.
“Citizens will no longer need to visit multiple departments for their utility needs. Their issues will now be resolved promptly and efficiently in a single location,” the Minister stated.
To ensure maximum public convenience, the Federal Minister announced that the center will remain operational throughout the week. The facility is equipped to handle a wide range of services, including:
Applications for new electricity connections.
Resolution of electricity-related complaints.
Processing temporary or permanent disconnections.
Requests for electricity bill deadline extensions.
Issuance of duplicate bills and other MEPCO-related matters.
Alignment with National Vision
The Federal Minister further highlighted that the project is in strict alignment with the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Federal Minister for Energy & Power Division. He reiterated that the PML-N government is committed to practical measures and public service, viewing the provision of modern facilities as a fundamental governmental responsibility.
