Commissioner Orders Stricter System to Prevent Exam Impersonation

Sahiwal (Staff Reporter) Commissioner Sahiwal Division and Chairman Board, Dr. Asif Tufail, has directed that the checking system in the board examinations be further strengthened to completely eliminate the chances of one candidate appearing in place of another. He also instructed that an inter-board mechanism be developed to prevent the same candidate from appearing in exams of more than one board. He issued these directives while presiding over the Board of Governors’ meeting in his office. Rescue 1122 Conducts Round-the-Clock Flood Evacuations in Sahiwal

Rescue 1122 teams in Sahiwal continue evacuating flood-affected residents 24 hours a day from 10 flood rescue posts set up along the Ravi River. District Emergency Officer Dr. Khalid Abdullah reported that the flood situation in the river remains critical. Following instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Rescue 1122 remains on high alert across Punjab in vulnerable flood areas. Teams at flood rescue posts in Dad Baloch, Kora Shah Zairin, Qutub Shahana Bridge, Murad Dalo, Nuran Sanpal, Dadra Bala, Murad ke Kathia, Sial Jhangi, Chak Bandi, and Abadi Amirabad evacuate people and move them to safe locations. Despite canceled leaves, rescue personnel work tirelessly day and night to serve the public. So far, they have rescued over 386 people, including women and children, and relocated 208 animals to safe areas. Forest Department Joins Flood Relief Efforts in Chichawatni

In the current flood situation, the Forest Department staff of Chichawatni is also actively engaged in public safety and relief activities. Muhammad Khalil, Divisional Forest Officer Chichawatni, visited Government High School Boys Tiba Noor Pur along with his staff, where he ensured staff attendance and reviewed the availability of medicines. On the occasion, he directed the staff that no negligence will be tolerated and that facilities must be provided to the public in a timely manner. Chichawatni–Kamalia Ravi River Bridge Shut Amid Rising Floodwaters

The Ravi River bridge from Chichawatni to Kamalia has been closed among rising floodwaters near Old Chichawatni. Kamalia Khan Da Chak Adda Kalera Road has completely collapsed and been washed away by floodwaters. Chak No. 732 G.B. is currently entirely engulfed by flood currents, where water levels have reached approximately 4 to 5 feet. An area spanning seven kilometers along Sher Shah Suri Road is now submerged, and water has entered hundreds of homes. The Government High School in Old Chichawatni is also underwater. At the Ravi River bridge point, the water outflow has exceeded 200,000 cusecs. There is a risk of an extremely high-level flood in the Ravi River within the next 24 hours. The Assistant Commissioner has ordered the complete evacuation of areas adjacent to the Ravi river.
