SAHIWAL: Foolproof security arrangements completed for New Year 2026

SAHIWAL (Police Spokesperson): On the special directives of DPO Sahiwal Muhammad Usman Tipu, Sahiwal Police have finalized a comprehensive and foolproof security plan across the district to ensure the protection of life and property and to maintain law and order on the occasion of the New Year 2026 . SAHIWAL: A woman police head constable was subjected to torture by her husband, father-in-law, and brother-in-law for refusing to include her salary in monthly household expenses in W-Block, Scheme No. 3. Fog-Related Accidents Claim Two Lives, Leave Two Injured in Sahiwal

SAHIWAL: Two people were killed and two others seriously injured in separate road accidents caused by dense fog across the Sahiwal Division, according to Traffic Police and Rescue 1122 officials. In the first incident, three motorcyclists collided with a tractor-trolley on the Pakpattan–Sahiwal Road due to poor visibility. As a result, a 23-year-old laborer died on the spot, while two others—a 35-year-old and a 45-year-old laborer—sustained critical injuries. CHICHAWATNI: Police of Okanwala Bangla Circle arrested a man impersonating a police officer near Chak 99/12-L Chichawatni during a routine checking operation. According to details, ASI Maqsood Ahmed stopped a young man identified as Saqib Jatt during checking. When questioned, the suspect showed a police uniform kept in a shopping bag and introduced himself as a police officer. However, upon being asked to present official documents or proof of service, he failed to do so. SAHIWAL: Judge Ziaullah Khan of the Special Anti-Terrorism Court (Hajj), Sahiwal, approved the physical remand of seven arrested officials of the proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik and handed them over to Arifwala City Police. The officials include Asif Ali, Qari Muhammad Zubair, Mutiullah, Muhammad Ramzan, Allah Ditta, Abdullah Jamil, and Syed Muhammad. The court ordered that the accused be produced again on December 29. According to police, Arifwala City Police had registered a case against the accused under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act and other relevant provisions for staging a protest demonstration at Burewala Chowk on October 19, 2021. The accused were charged with taking out a procession, chanting slogans against the government, and delivering provocative speeches.
