Riphah International University Sahiwal Campus Launches Two-Day Free Medical Camp

SAHIWAL (Riphah University Representative) — In a significant move toward community welfare and clinical excellence, Riphah International University Sahiwal Campus has officially inaugurated a two-day medical camp. The initiative, which is set to run on July 25 and 26 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, aims to provide essential healthcare services to both students and the residents of surrounding communities.

Comprehensive Specialized Care

The camp features a lineup of expert doctors providing consultations across several key medical departments. To ensure holistic care, the university has arranged for specialized services in:

  • Orthopedics

  • ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat)

  • Gynecology

  • Pediatrics

  • Physiotherapy

  • Nutrition

Beyond consultations, the camp offers a robust diagnostic setup. In a notable effort to support underprivileged patients, laboratory tests and ultrasound facilities have been made available on-site, accompanied by the distribution of free medicines.

Bridging Service and Education

Campus Director Muhammad Zeeshan and Deputy Director Muhammad Tariq Mehmood oversaw the proceedings. Speaking at the event, Director Zeeshan emphasized that the camp is a core component of the university’s social responsibility.

"This initiative does more than just serve the local community; it serves as a vital training ground. Our Nursing and Pharmacy students are gaining invaluable hands-on experience by assisting in a real-world clinical environment," Zeeshan stated.

Corporate Collaboration and Awareness

Deputy Director Muhammad Tariq Mehmood highlighted the collaborative nature of the event. Various pharmaceutical companies have set up dedicated stalls to support the cause. Patients are not only receiving free supplements but are also being briefed on nutritional benefits and preventive healthcare measures through these awareness desks.

Through this initiative, Riphah International University continues to solidify its commitment to merging academic learning with impactful public service.
