Sahiwal Board: One-Window Operation’ and On-Site Bank Branch Approved

SAHIWAL – In a significant move to streamline administrative processes and enhance student facilitation, the Board of Governors (BoG) of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sahiwal held a high-level meeting chaired by Dr. Asif Tufail, Commissioner Sahiwal Division and Chairman of the Board.

The session focused on structural reforms, employee welfare, and the modernization of student services to ensure a more efficient educational environment.

Key Agenda and Administrative Decisions

Secretary Board Ghulam Hussain Bhatti provided a comprehensive briefing to the participants. The meeting deliberated on several critical areas, including:

  • Administrative Reforms: Amendments to the qualification criteria for the appointment of the Director of Physical Education, alongside resolving promotion and pension-related cases for staff.

  • Infrastructure Development: Approval for the renovation of the IT building and the restoration of the board’s older premises.

  • Institutional Support: Matters regarding the affiliation of private educational institutions and the management of supporting staff.

The ‘One-Window’ Initiative

During the meeting, Dr. Asif Tufail issued directives to upgrade the existing Facilitation Center at the Chairman’s Office. The goal is to implement a fully functional One-Window Operation, ensuring that students do not have to navigate multiple offices for their documentation and queries.

"Our top priority is to provide all necessary facilities under one roof for students, especially those traveling from remote areas. This initiative will eliminate unnecessary delays and simplify the process for the public," the Commissioner stated.

Establishment of an On-Site Bank Branch

In a major relief for parents and students, the Commissioner announced the establishment of a dedicated bank branch within the BISE Sahiwal premises.

Currently, many students face difficulties traveling to distant banks to deposit departmental fees. The new on-site branch will allow for the immediate payment of all dues, saving time and ensuring a more secure, rapid service delivery.

Modernization and Transparency

Concluding the session, Dr. Asif Tufail emphasized the need to align the board’s administrative and educational framework with modern technological standards. He instructed that all ongoing developmental projects be completed within the stipulated deadlines to maintain transparency and improve the overall efficiency of the board’s operations.
